IIGJ • IIGJ Research & Laboratories

IIGJ Research & Laboratories, formerly known as The Gem Testing Laboratory (Jaipur) is a pioneer in gemstone certification and the most reputed laboratory in India. Established in 1972, it is the project of the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (Ministry of Finance, Govt of India). At IIGJ RLC Jaipur, strict guidelines are followed to ensure the authenticity of gemstones and possible treatments in the most scientific and reproducible manner through a combination of state-of-art analytical techniques and extensive practical skills in interpreting gemological data. GII • Gemological Institute of India, Mumbai

GII (Mumbai) is the first Gem Testing Laboratory of India. It is a project of the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (Ministry of Finance, Govt of India). It is also the first Research & Development Laboratory in the field of gemstones in India recognized by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India as SIRO. DANAT • Bahrain Institute for Pearls & Gemstones

The Pearl & Gemstone Testing Laboratory of Bahrain (established in 1990) was the first Laboratory of its kind to be set up in the Middle East, developing a positive reputation within the Middle East and beyond. In 2017, at the instigation of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) was formed as a wholly owned entity of Mumtalakat (Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund) to take over, enhance and expand upon the excellent work of the Pearl & Gemstone Testing Laboratory of Bahrain.

NATURAL DIAMONDS

Solitaire Diamonds over 30 cents offered by us are graded by GIA - the world's foremost authority in Diamonds certification. In the 1940's, GIA established the "4C's" & the International Diamond Grading System - to this day, the worldwide standard for evaluating diamond quality. The unique report number laser inscription technique offered by GIA assists a customer in matching & verifying the authenticity of Diamonds with the lab report.

We also offer certifications from other recognized laboratories, such as HRD (Antwerp) & IGI - International Gemological Institute (Worldwide), who also grades & certifies diamonds using International Diamond Grading System by GIA.

Diamond Jewelry certification is more complex as the determination of exact grades of the diamond becomes difficult. IGI, GTL (Jaipur), GII (Mumbai), etc provides jewelry certifications with a variance of grades observed.
